Substitute Possessive Adjectives

Substitute the possessive in brackets [ * ] for a possessive adjective (his, her, its, their)

Sustituye el posesivo en corchetes [ * ] por un adjectivo posesivo (his, her, its, their)

Example: The president needed some important papers so they called [the president's secretary] to bring them.
The president needed some important papers so they called *his/her* secretary to bring them.

  2. The canoe is made of wood but [the canoe's] seats are made of leather
  3. The Norwegians are very prosperous but [the Norwegians'] taxes are very high
  4. Bob was having a fine time skiing until [Bob's] leg broke
  5. Monica made the dinner and [Monica's] daughter set the table
  6. James likes to watch sports on TV but [James'] father prefers documentaries
  7. The Johnsons live on the coast but [the Johnsons'] summer home is in the mountains
  8. Tony left here an hour ago but [Tony's] coat is still on the sofa
  9. Cindy owns a gallery where you can see many of [Cindy's] original paintings
  10. That mechanic does very good work, but [the mechanic's] rates are very high
