Which words can you omit? Eliminate words that aren't necessary and re-write the sentence.


Example: Charles didn't stand a chance as the odds were negatively against him.

  1. Don't try to be smart if you want to keep your job and be employed.
  2. Is there a good hotel in town that's not too expensive and is fairly reasonable in price?
  3. This is the third consecutive losing day in a row for the Tokyo stock market.
  4. The company sells its product around the world and operates in global markets as well.
  5. Three witness saw the crime with their own eyes.
  6. A computer is a machine that does fast calculations at rapid speeds and analyzes large quantities of information and data.
  7. The car's experimental features were all new to us and something we had never seen before.
  8. The workers shut down the machine, unplugged it, disconnected it from the electricity and proceeded to fix it.
  9. On holiday last summer, someone stole my wallet with all of my credit cards, cash and paper money in it.
